As part of our International Youth Day campaign, we set out to find a young social entrepreneur who had used repayable finance to grow their impact, and we were lucky to meet Julia Strelczuk, founder of Nettle Café.
With support from social investment in the form of a repayable grant, Julia was able to transform the old bank in Port Sunlight into the next home for her cafe, hire staff, and boost cashflow to get the business up and running. The results have been remarkable, and in just one month at the new location, she’s earned what used to take a whole year at the old one!
Tune in to hear her inspiring story: her experience working with a social investor, the challenges she faced, how she managed the stress, and her exciting plans for the future!
